Directions

Step 1
  • Warm the oven up to 190 degrees C (375 degrees F). Cover an 8×8-inch baking dish with aluminum foil, letting some of it hang over the sides. Spray cooking spray on the pan.
Step 2
  • In a bowl, mix together oats, wheat germ, flax seed, protein powder, cinnamon, and salt. In a different big bowl, mash the bananas. Then, add 1/4 cup of Jif® peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract and mix the ingredients well. Mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, then spread it out in the baking dish that has been oiled.
Step 3
  • Put it in an oven that is already hot for 20 minutes. Cover it with 1/4 cup of natural peanut butter.
Step 4
  • Keep baking for 10 more minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and the center is set. Let the bars cool in the pan, then use aluminum foil as handles to move them to a work area. Separate into bars, cover with plastic wrap, and keep in the fridge.

FAQ’S

Q1. Are bars with a lot of protein good for breakfast?
A protein bar isn’t as good as a breakfast made with a variety of healthy whole foods, but they can be useful sometimes. If you need a quick breakfast once in a while, higher-calorie protein bars that don’t have any extra sugar or hydrogenated oils might be a good choice.

Q2. Do protein bars have a lot of fiber?
Lots of fiber. It seems like every brand of protein bar is promoting “Low Net Carb” bars, which means that the 10-15g of fiber in the bar aren’t actually digestible carbs. What’s wrong? That’s not really true.

Q3. Can we eat bars every day?
They have a lot of sugar: A lot of the protein bars you can buy at the store have extra sugars added to them. In the long run, eating these every day could be bad because we all know that eating a lot of sugar can make you gain weight, get fat, and lose your teeth.
