Air Fryer Sweet Potato Chips Recipe

Make delicious sweet potato chips with your air fryer. After much experimentation, I found that a mandoline set just a hair thicker than 1/16 inch (3/32 inch) made the nicest chips.

– 1 large (8 ounces) sweet potato – 1 tablespoon canola oil – 1/4 teaspoon sea salt – 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper – cooking spray

Cook 12–16 minutes, rotating chips after 4 minutes, until gently golden and crispy. Watch attention in the last 2–3 minutes of cooking.

Step 5

Check chips after 30 seconds and use tongs to remove golden chips from the basket to avoid overcooking and bitterness.

Cool chips for 5 minutes. Crispness will persist as chips cool. Up to 3 days in sealed container.
