– 2 large, very ripe banana– 2 tablespoons milk– ½ cup butter, room temperature– 1¼ cups all-purpose flour– ¾ cups white sugar– 1 teaspoon baking soda– 1 teaspoon baking powder– 2 large egg– ¾ cup chopped walnut

Line a 1-pound loaf pan with parchment paper or a loaf liner and preheat to 320 F.

Place the bananas in a big bowl and use a fork to mash them well.

With an electric mixer, combine milk, butter, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and eggs. Gently stir in chopped walnuts with a wooden spoon.

Fill the loaf pan with the mixture. Bake the loaf until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean, 45–50 minutes. Warm the bread.
