How to Make Glazed Carrots 

Glazed carrots in brown sugar and butter go well with weeknight meatloaf, Sunday gammon and Thanksgiving turkey. These caramelised carrots are kid-friendly but elegant enough for adults! 


– 2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into stick – ¼ cup butter – ¼ cup packed brown sugar – ¼ teaspoon salt – ⅛ teaspoon ground white pepper



Put carrots in a large saucepan with 1 inch of water and boil. Cover and simmer carrots for 8–10 minutes on low. Transfer to bowl after draining.

Melt butter in same saucepan on low. Dissolve brown sugar, salt, and white pepper. Put carrots in the saucepan and coat with brown sugar.

Cook and stir carrots 1–3 minutes longer until heated and coated with glaze.
