Nutella-Stuffed French Toast Recipe

My daughter adores Nutella-stuffed French toast. Sliced bananas or strawberries can be added to the sandwich. Serve with pancake syrup and powdered sugar. 

– 2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella), or more to taste – 4 slices cinnamon bread (such as Pepperidge Farm) – ¼ cup milk – 1 large egg, beaten – ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract – cooking spray

Step 1

Spread Put 1 tablespoon chocolate-hazelnut spread on one side of 2 cinnamon bread slices and top with another to make 2 sandwiches.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix milk, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Soak sandwiches in milk mixture for 15 seconds per side to moisten bread.

Heat cooking spray-coated nonstick pan over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Brown sandwiches on the bottom in the hot pan for 2 minutes. Flip sandwiches and cook for 1 minute more to brown other side.
