Pineapple Margarita Recipe

The pineapple margarita tropicalizes a classic margarita! Tajin can replace coarse salt for glass rimming. Quality tequila yields excellent outcomes. 

– 2 cups ice, or as needed – 3 fluid ounces pineapple juice – 2 fluid ounces silver tequila – ¾ fluid ounce triple sec – ¾ fluid ounce freshly squeezed lime juice – 1 tablespoon coarse salt, or as needed – 2 lime wedge – pineapple wedge for garnish (optional)

Step 1

Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour pineapple juice, tequila, triple sec, and lime juice into the shaker. Seal and shake hard for 10–15 seconds to frost exterior.

Step 2

Sprinkle salt on a dish. Lime wedges moisten glass rims. Press the wet rim into salt. Fill glass with ice.

Step 3

Strain the margarita into the glass. If you want, add a pineapple wedge and a lime wedge to the top.
