Spanish Gin and Tonic (Gin Tonica) recipe

Gin and tonics are the most refreshing summer cocktails, therefore I'll show you my version. The Basque cooks established the style to add items to the glass to make gin taste even better.  

Ingredient

– whole spices, such as juniper berries, pink peppercorns, star anise, cardamom pods, cloves, or cinnamon stick – 2 fluid ounces gin – 4 to 6 fluid ounces tonic water, to taste – sliced fresh citrus fruit, such as lemon, orange, lime, or blood orange – fresh herbs, such as basil, thyme, mint, rosemary, or tarragon

Fill a big red wine glass nearly full with new ice.Put entire spices in the glass. Juniper berries, peppercorns, star anise, cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon sticks complement gin ingredients.

Before adding, "bruise" entire spices with your fingers or a knife for a stronger taste.

Slice and/or zest your preferred citrus fruits. Gently whisk and combine the drink using a cocktail stirrer or spoon. Do not stir hard!

Insert fresh herb sprigs. Basil, thyme, mint, rosemary, and tarragon are popular.

Slap the herbs or compress between your fingers to activate the essential oils for a stronger, more aromatic result.Serving 3–5 minutes after combining lets drink chill.
