This amaro-based cocktail has campfire sensations from grilled lemon. Use a charred citrus twist or little paper aircraft garnish.

Sprinkle sugar on lemon halves.Pre-heat an outdoor grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Grill lemon, cut sides down, for 5 minutes until gently roasted. After cooling, squeeze lemon to 3/4 ounce.

Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Bourbon, Aperol, amaro, and lemon juice. For 30 seconds, cover and shake shaker to frost exterior. Strain into glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
