Directions
- First, preheat an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Take the top of the head of garlic and cut it off so that the cloves are exposed. Remove about a quarter of an inch from the top of each clove during this process. Olive oil should be drizzled over the cloves that have been chopped, and then the head should be tucked into a piece of aluminum foil.
- Place in an oven that has been preheated and bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft. Take the garlic out of the oven, but do not deactivate the oven. Take the garlic cloves and squeeze them into a small dish. Then, mash them into a paste.
- When the bread has been cut in half, spread the butter on the cut sides, sprinkle the bread with rosemary, and lay it on a baking sheet. Bake bread for five minutes in an oven that has been preheated. After removing from the oven, put garlic paste on the surface.
- One half of the loaf should be topped with tomatoes and basil. The tomato slices should be drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Apply sliced mozzarella to the top of the remaining half of the loaf. Sandwich halves should be returned to the baking sheet.
- For around ten minutes, place in a hot oven and continue cooking until the cheese has melted. Before you put the sandwich together, let it cool down a little bit. After cutting into four pieces, serve.
